| | The Wrong Beginning - James Dean Bradfield | ] | Did you know that Robertson Quay + UE Square + Mohammad Sultan is now Singapore's unofficial Little Japan? It's a short walk away from Liang Court but yet far enough from the touristy crowds that throng Clarke Quay and Riverside Point.
Less than a year ago, there was just Shunjuu, now the whole stretch has about seven different Japanese restaurants from Yoyogi which serves sashimi to Gyu-kaku, a Japanese bbq place that serves wagyu beef (has another outlet at Chjimes).
And I've spotted the next place to try: Rivercafe. It's an Australian restaurant that shares the same space as the Singapore Tyler Print Institute and can accommodate about 300 guests for a cocktail party. Very stylish, very posh but also very affordable. Main courses start from $21. |
