In Singapore, the National Environment Agency (NEA) is now providing hourly air quality updates to give a better idea of the changing situation, said NEA chief meteorological officer Yong Miow Koon.
But NEA head of pollution control Joseph Hui said the PSI reading is unlikely to pass 100 and enter unhealthy levels. It will probably drop by the middle of this month, when the inter-monsoon season hits Indonesia, he said.
